24weeks pregnancy…it will be too early to think that it will be membrane rupture and termination of pregnancy….2nd doctor opinion is looking practically correct… continue oral antibiotics, keep clean white pad … watch for watery discharge or foul smelling discharge, fever , bleeding, baby movement…. counsult your gynaecologist
Next Steps
Conservative management till 30-32 weeks

If it is amniotic fluid leaking it will not stop If it is infection it may decrease and gradually stop Do keep one pad and observe Better get one scan for afi If it decrease then chances of leak are there But it needs examination

You need clinical examination to see if its leaking or infection.

We must treat any underlying infection and monitor the baby's wellbeing and amniotic fluid levels by amniotic fluid levels. Sometimes a higher leak can seal on its own and the leaking may stop. If it were a membrane rupture, we focus on giving antibiotics to prevent any infection and can wait till the baby has attained maturity (up to 34-37 weeks) So, if the baby is keeping well, then we can try and extend the pregnancy till the maximum possible extent that we can achieve safely without risking any infection to the mother and baby.
