I understand your concern , you need to get rid of the tooth , otherwise the inflamation wont go away , pulp polyp is a case necessitiates extripation of pulp and extraction of the same tooth to get rid of post infection siquele , otherwise it may leeds to absess , granuloma even osteomylitis . so please consider getting rid of the tooth . you can get it replaced once it heals properly after extraction . also consider the best treatment plan for your last tooth in the same quadrant in the picture . weather filling or root canal treatment according to clinical /radiographic condition.
I understand your fear and anxiety towards dental treatment. but its really not a complicated procedure your previous painful treatment can be due to subsiding infection while you were seeking treatment. so please consider having antibiotics prior to the extraction of the tooth . so that treatment will be smooth and painless.
