Plantar Fasciitis

I am a novince runner,had pain in the right toe.Visited a doctor and he said it seems to be plantar fasciitis.How can I get rid of this permanently, am unable to run becausr of this.Ofcourse I am overweight as well..just 153 cm weight of about 86 kg.

Hello.. It may be due to compensatory flat foot(which is reversible with arch & exercises) or any inflammatory changes in right great toe due to over weight(Put Ice there) or may be any deformity in toe(Hallux valgus needs correction with separator & kinesio taping/rigid taping). It's not plantar fasciitis but can lead metatarsalgia if weight issue you are facing in your weak foot soon (If toe deformity not there). Please show once to any PHYSIOTHERAPIST So he can asses exact prob. & guide you well. Regards

Pain in toe is not plantar fasccitis. It could be hallux rigidus/valgus etc ( if it's on big toe) Based on the condition one has to see why it has effected you. If there is joint restriction or muscular or muscular weakness. One has to evaluate your gait, footwear, strength of foot etc. Several factors can effect which can be determined only after a thorough examination by a good physio only.
