Periods delay

2026-08-11 08:13:12
Had unprotected intercourse on May 24 and took i-pill within 10 hours. I had no spotting or bleeding afterward. My periods usually come between the 6th and 10th of each month. On June 6, I had a period which is a bit heavy than the usual flow for 4–5 days and stopped. Could this have been spotting or was it a regular period? My next period came on July 7 and lasted 4–5 days with my usual flow. I have had no intercourse since May 24. Today is August 11, and my period hasn't come yet. Could I still be pregnant, or is this delay likely due to the pill? When can I expect my period?

Emergency pills can delay a period, but that effect wears off well within a month, so the May pill isn't why August is late. A cycle up to around 37 days is still considered normal.
Next Steps
If your period still hasn't come by around mid-August, take a home pregnancy test and see a gynaecologist for a proper check.
Health Tips
Don't take any medicine to induce your period without your doctor confirming it's needed first.

Emergency pills are known to delay periods Side effects of the emergency pill do not last beyond a month So the pill taken in May is not the reason for delay in August Up to 37 day cycle is considered normal since you had your last period on 7th of July you should wait till 14th of August If still no period you need a medicine to help you get your periods
