It is not uncommon for teenage girls to experience irregular periods, especially in the first few years of menstruation. Factors such as stress, changes in diet or exercise, and hormonal fluctuations can all contribute to irregular cycles. However, it is always a good idea to consult with a healthcare provider to rule out any underlying medical conditions or concerns. If your daughter continues to experience abnormal symptoms or her period remains absent, it is best to seek professional medical advice. Regards, Dr U N Sahoo (MD)
