I have pericoronitis since a day, it is painful and there is pain in swallowing as well. Will it settle by doing something at home to treat it or i need to necessarily get the tooth removed? I am already taking zifi 200mg n zerodol sp.

You should get your teeth extracted as your age for normal eruption has surpassed. This pain and swelling is just a way of your body telling it's time to remove the tooth or else it may get infected .

U need to go for an xray to evaluate the position of wisdom tooth. intake of medicines only gives u temporary relief. Dental checkup is necessary for u .

Maintain oral hygiene. Warm saline rinses thrice a day. Continue with the medication as advised by your doctor. Do get an x ray done to check the position of wisdom tooth. On the basis of x ray, treatment can be planned/advised.
