Found a painful (while touching) swallow in back side of head, very small like injury (but not injured) , 1-1.5 cm, circular. Occipital area. I am worried, recently no others symptoms except pain.

A small, painful swelling in the occipital area is often due to a localized infection or inflamed lymph node, sometimes even a simple boil or folliculitis. Since you have no other symptoms, it usually isn’t serious. However, if the swelling increases in size, becomes red/hot, persists beyond a week, or is associated with fever, headache, or neurological symptoms, you should consult a physician for proper evaluation. For now, avoid pressing it and keep the area clean.

A small, tender swelling at the back of the head could be due to causes like a localized skin/follicle infection, inflamed lymph node, or cyst. While it may not be serious, a physical examination is important to confirm the cause and rule out anything needing immediate care. Avoid pressing it repeatedly, keep the area clean, and consult a doctor if it increases in size, redness, or pain, or if you develop fever.

A small, painful lump in the occipital region could be a swollen lymph node, sebaceous cyst, or a localized follicular infection. Since there’s no injury or other symptoms, it’s likely benign — but persistent pain should not be ignored. I recommend a clinical examination to assess it properly. Please feel free to consult me directly for evaluation and safe homeopathic treatment.

A small, circular, tender swelling in the occipital area of the scalp, especially if there is no visible injury or trauma, is most likely an inflamed lymph node or sebaceous cyst. These swellings can appear when there is minor infection or irritation in the nearby skin, scalp, or even from a mild viral illness that has passed. The occipital region contains small lymph nodes that can become tender and swollen in response to any inflammation around the neck, scalp, or upper back. Since you are not experiencing fever, weight loss, or neurological symptoms, this is likely benign. The fact that it is painful to touch but not enlarging rapidly is reassuring.
Next Steps
Apply a warm compress over the area for ten minutes, two to three times a day. This helps reduce inflammation and discomfort. Avoid pressing or massaging the swelling too much. If it persists beyond two weeks, becomes larger, or develops redness and heat, you should consider a clinical examination and possibly a simple ultrasound to confirm whether it is a cyst or a reactive node. In homeopathy, Silicea 6X or Hepar sulphuris 30C can help resolve small nodular swellings depending on whether it is more firm or tender. Use only after a full case review.
Health Tips
Wash your scalp with warm water and a mild herbal shampoo. Avoid hair oils or gels until the swelling settles. Include turmeric and ginger in your food for natural anti-inflammatory support. Also, ensure you are drinking enough water and sleeping on a clean pillow to avoid any further irritation to the scalp.
