I recently was diagnosed with Candida Albicans in urine culture and started taking flucanozole. This UTI symptoms existed since 2 months but got diagnosed just a week ago as Candida. I had extremely very painful periods in the past two months. Can this painful periods be due to Candida Albicans? Or is there any other problem? Note : I have done abdomen and pelvis Ultrasound and everything is normal in ultrasound.

Yes if you had severe UTI and pain in lower tummy due to candida then menses do aggravate the menstrual pain ..Need examination and treatment after periods get over.

Candida infection affects vagina. It doesn't go to uterus. So it is unlikely that it can be a cause for painful periods. Please consult with a Gynaecologist in your area . A physical examination may reveal some cause. In the meantime you may continue your treatment after consulting with a Gynaecologist on Practo
