Armpit swelling can be enlarged lympnode, Cyst, furuncle or boil . As it is painful it must be infected and inflamed. From your symptoms it's seeming mostly furuncle or boil that is caused by poor hygiene or friction with clothed , blockage of hair follicles with infection mostly with staphylococcus. You should have proper cleaning of arm pits and application of T bact or Neosporin ointment and also can take tab Linezolid 600 mg BD x 1 wk to treat MRSA infection as it is more common now a days. You should visit an experienced clinician for accurate diagnosis after proper examination of the lesion.
