Hello. Since you’re having recurrent throat pain and colds for almost a year with enlargement of a lymph node, this should be evaluated rather than treated repeatedly with medicines alone. It could be due to recurrent viral infections, allergic rhinitis with postnasal drip, chronic tonsillitis, or less commonly another underlying condition.
Next Steps
I recommend an ENT consultation for a throat examination. You may need tests such as CBC, ESR/
CRP,
thyroid profile (
TSH), and an ultrasound of the enlarged lymph node
Health Tips
if it persists. In the meantime, stay well hydrated, do warm saline gargles, maintain hand hygiene, and continue your
thyroid medication as prescribed. If the lymph node continues to enlarge, lasts more than 2–3 weeks, or is associated with fever, weight loss, or difficulty swallowing, seek prompt medical evaluation.
