Hello Ma’am, Having pain in shin area on running is suggestive of stress injury/ reaction in tibia bone. This can be concerning if left unattended as there is a risk, though Low of having a fracture. Please get x ray tibia to have a look of any stress reaction. If negative, I will recommend MRI of leg also to look for stress changes (it’s more sensitive than X ray). Ultimately he has to curtail his activities and reduce his walking and running distance. I would also like to evaluate for Vit D deficiency.
Next Steps
X-ray, MRI leg, Vit D level
Health Tips
Reduce walking and running distance and speed
