That quite normal during rct ...even there can be slight pain after the rct completion for few days but if the pain persists even after three weeks of rct completion, you may seek the doctor.

Generally you do not feel pain after the 1st sitting . If pain occurs you should be advised to take antibiotics or painkillers. You should be better by the next 2 sittings. Sometime the tooth(hot tooth)has intense pain due to Extensive tooth decay Gum disease Leaking old fillings Tooth or facial injury Cracked or fractured tooth, exposing the pulp , which makes it difficult to anesthetize for dental treatment (Hot tooth anesthesia). The "hot" term does not mean the tooth is literally hot to the touch but refers to the intense pain.
Next Steps
Consult with your dentist or an Endodontist for better management.
Health Tips
Do not take medications without your doctors consultation . Avoid hot compressions.

Some pain is associated with root canal treatment ,but if it is lingering ,it should be looked into. Kindly discuss the same with your dentist. Endodontists are dentists who specialize in root canal treatment, maybe consult one if it doesn't settle and if you are not already seeing one .

Hello, Sometimes the tooth nerves are severely inflamed, making the local anaesthesia ineffective. But the pain should not extend beyond the 1st appointment. Kindly share xray for better guidance.
Next Steps
Check with an endodontist (root canal specialist) if the pain is persistent
Health Tips
Avoid biting on that particular tooth
