Normal ovulatory cycle causes pain. But if it's gathering your day to day routine you should be investigated. Do basic pelvis ultrasound. Consult ayurvedic gynecologist for Panchakarma especially Basti treatment.

Hi, pain during periods is mostly normal. If it needs you painkillers to take or hamper your work habit, definately meet gynaecologist. She will assess you and sometimes we do Ultrasound to rule out  any Endomeriosis.

Pain during periods can be due to various reasons. Sometimes they respond to simple pain killers and sometimes they respond to hormonal pills, depending on the cause for the pain. You can try Bruffen or Mefenamic Acid tablets to see if that helps. I think you should first see a gynaecologist for an assessment and a prescription.
