Have done gym recently and increased the weight limits I do.. I got this pain in knee and ignored it and continued gym and zumba.
When the pain didnt go away, I spoke to a doctor he gave me anti inflammatory medicines. It's been 4 days but the pain doesn't seem to reduce.
I also applied ice on and above knee.
Not sure what to do next
Increased activity leading to pain could be a symptom of your patella wearing out because of undue stress. I suggest you get a proper evaluation of your knee joint before resuming your exercises.
If there is no relief with the medication you need to go back to your Orthopaedic doctor for revaluation and X-rays if necessary
Till then continue icing and avoid any exercise Or strenuous activity
