For stage 3c ovarian cancer, standard of care is Chemotherapy and surgery. Chemotherapy is given prior to surgery (neoadjuvant) in patients with extensive disease when surgeon feel more morbid upfront surgery. In that situation neoadjuvant chemo followed by surgery and adjuvant chemotherapy will be given. Total number of chemo cycles will be around 6. Novel therapies like PARP inhibitors are given after Chemotherapy to improve survival.
