My mother feels pain in left knee while walking. Xray showed that space between bones has reduced. Can someone please suggest good knee braces for her. Thanks

Hi,
She must be having osteoarthritis which is common in old age
Send me the X-ray of her knee joint
You need to take few precautions and medications along with physiotherapy which will slow down the process of further degeneration and will also provide relief from pain
Brace can be used but long term use of brace may cause weakness of your muscles

avoid stairs and squatting.
using knee brace may help with pain but I would suggest you not to use it for longer duration as it may cause muscle weaker in long run.

This treatment is being suggested on bases of the information provided. However I would like to examine & investigate your mother in detail.
-Control Hypertension, Diabetes or metabolic disorder, if there is any.
--. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding.
--. Keep no pillow under the head.
--. Avoid painful acts & activities.
--. Fomentation with warm water. Let the part not be exposed to cold.
-- .Do mild exercises for &the affected part.-back and lower limbs and knees.
