Osteoarthritis in Left knee

My father is having pain in both the knee since 2 yrs.the problem is more in left knee. Dr suggested to do a MRI scan of left knee based on which he will decide further medication/surgery required. I am attaching the latest MRI of left knee.Please suggest what should be suggested remedy for this condition.

Dear sir, it would have been highly recommended to post your x rays, even today with MRI imaging, X rays maintain there role in treatment. The report tells of arthritis, if regular exercise, and medication do not help, he will need surgical intervention.
