Oral Mucocele treatment
I had some cyst type thing in my lower lips area just above lower lips under mouth, have visited one dentist but he was not sure but still said that It was perhaps Mucocele.. So, whether mucocele can be treated via medicine and is there any chances that it can lead to cancer..

Hello sir ,
It appears as a mucocel it is a collection of saliva under the epithelium . It is caused by any trauma to the minor salivary gland. Mucocel may not lead to cancer.
Treatment surgical removal of the mucocel . Proper removal has to be done to avoid recurrence.

It does appear to be a mucocele. Mucoceles cannot be treated with medicines. It needs to be removed surgically.
It is just a collection of saliva under the skin of the mouth, it will not lead to cancer.
