Hi, if there is only decrease in recognition of name and if other milestones are normal like motor milestones, social milestones then there is problem in hearing only and and ENT examination should be done to find out the cause of decrease hearing. On the other hand, if there is delay in other milestones then there are chances of developmental delay. In case of developmental delay, an MRI brain should be done, fundus examination of eye should be done, proper examination of reflexes should be done.
