Nose irritation after morning/noon naps

2020-07-22 18:30:49
My daughter has a lot of nose irritation after naps. She wakes up with either blocked or irritating nose and as soon as she wakes she sneezes a lot atleast 7-10 times until steam touches her nose. This is major in winter. I  give her steam after she wakes up every time post which she gradually comes down. And during the day shes fine until the next nap time. Her sneeze has transparent colour mucus. Can I use nacl injection water in nebuliser often?

She likely has Allergic rhinitis.
Next Steps
Tab Montair LC Kid 1 tab daily night  chewable. Give for 2 weeks and then have to re assess her regarding further medications if required.
Health Tips
Change her bedsheets, if not properly dusted it could trigger early morning nasal discharge and even windy weather cause the same. She wil out grow this problem shortly as she grows

She might be having allergy and also at this age group adenoid enlargement is common
Next Steps
You can use nacl and also consider doing her X-ray lateral neck to rule out adenoid enlargement

It appears to be a case of allergic rhinitis. If this has persisted for more than 6 weeks, a course of anti inflammatory or steroid nasal spray is advisable.
Next Steps
proper consult so that medicine can be advised

Yes you can use that is indirect salt water inhalation. but the important thing is you have to prevent temperature variations as well as weather changes around the child and the transition from warm to cold and cold to warm should not be drastic because it will then lead to allergic cough and cold
