Non itchy reddish pink patches

2025-04-25 17:47:18
Hi, I have observed recently that there are reddish pink small patches over my torso, hands and legs. They are not itching at all. I observed for a week, the ones on my hands seems to be dried out but the patch/bump remains, only the skin on top of it got dried and peeled. Im worrying that I suddenly spot similar patches in new places on my skin. Please help me with this.

Your description suggests a likely diagnosis of pityriasis rosea or an early form of papulosquamous eruption. These are benign and self-limiting conditions, often presenting with reddish-pink patches and superficial scaling without significant itching.
Next Steps
Apply a mid-potency topical corticosteroid (like mometasone furoate) once daily and use a gentle moisturizing lotion. If new lesions continue to appear or worsen, a dermatological consultation and KOH test may be needed to rule out fungal infections.
Health Tips
Avoid using harsh soaps or scrubbing the patches. Sun exposure in moderation can aid faster resolution. Most cases resolve spontaneously within 6–8 weeks.
