What you are experiencing is called nocturnal emission (nightfall/wet dreams). At 28, it can still occur and there is no fixed ânormalâ frequencyâsome men have them occasionally, while others may experience them more frequently. Current evidence considers nocturnal emissions a normal physiological phenomenon rather than a disease.
Having an emission every 3â4 days does not by itself indicate a hormonal problem or sexual weakness. It does not deplete your body, cause loss of strength, or permanently reduce
testosterone. Semen and sperm are continuously produced by the reproductive system.
Next Steps
There is generally no treatment required simply to stop nightfall, and there is no medicine that needs to be taken merely because it occurs frequently. You also do not need to start masturbation or sexual activity just to prevent it. If you are otherwise healthy and have normal erections and ejaculation while awake, this pattern is usually reassuring. If the emissions are accompanied by pain, blood in semen, burning urination, genital discharge, fever, significant pelvic pain, or a sudden major change in pattern, then a urological evaluation would be appropriate.
Health Tips
Don't worry about âsemen lossâ causing weakness or nutritional deficiencyâthis is a common misconception. Maintain regular sleep, exercise, adequate nutrition and hydration, and try to reduce stress and excessive monitoring of the frequency. Wet dreams cannot always be consciously prevented, and trying to suppress them can actually increase anxiety around the issue. If you want to reduce the frequency, improving sleep quality and stress management may help, but there is no guaranteed method to completely prevent nocturnal emissions. Most importantly, every 3â4 days is not, by itself, a reason to worry about fertility,
testosterone or physical weakness. Thank you
