Neck pain on back side

I am getting neck pain from last 5days.Initially it started from right side of my neck. On the next day i have pain completely on my back side of neck. For pain relief i started taking paracetamol,it gave relief for some time. Due to pain i cannot able to sleep. Can anyone suggest solution for my problem? Any measures /medicine to take for pain relief?

Okay..before treating you I need to know about your history in detail 1.any incidence of fall? 2.is it the first time happening? 3.how bad is the pain....can you move your neck sideways? 4 have you done any xray ..if yes pls share it with me 5.are you taking any medication?
