Neck pain laying or sitting down

Hi, ive had this neck pain for about 2-3 weeks now and it only occurs when I lay down or when I sit on an uncomfortable chair, I've been to the doctor and he said theres a swollen gland there, took some blood for testing and everything was fine, no problems whatsoever but through all that I'm still stuck with this neck pain and when I click my neck is sometimes relieves the pain for a few minutes. Its not a very painful feeling..
