My new born  7day baby navel code infection is there any serious issues or this is commonly happen not using any solution it happened today itself

Keep the cord dry. Do not apply any oil or use water to clear Clean with using sterile cotton and betadine liquid.
Next Steps
Watch for baby having fever , feed refusal or any other symptoms consult to doctor immediately
