Thank you for sharing your concern. Metoprolol, a beta-blocker, can sometimes cause side effects like nasal congestion or sinus inflammation in sensitive individuals. Switching to another beta-blocker, such as Concor or Corbis (Bisoprolol), may help, as different beta-blockers can have varying effects on individuals. However, there’s a possibility that similar side effects might occur since both drugs belong to the same class.
Next Steps
Please consult to evaluate the side effects and discuss switching to Bisoprolol or another suitable alternative. Bring your medical history and current medications to ensure the best decision is made.
Health Tips
In the meantime, you can use saline nasal sprays or antihistamines (if appropriate) to relieve nasal congestion. Avoid using decongestant sprays for prolonged periods.

Metoprolol can cause nasal congestion and sinus issues due to its effect on nasal mucosa. Switching to Bisoprolol (Concor/Corbis), a more cardio-selective beta-blocker, may reduce these symptoms as it primarily targets the heart and has less effect on nasal tissues. However, individual responses vary
