Suitability for lasik is determined by multiple factors including corneal thickness, your spectacle power , size of your pupils etc a detailed pre lasik workup is required to know if it can be done for you or not.. get in touch with an ophthalmologist who can do all these tests for you.

To get Lasik done you need to be fully evaluated. Pentacam or topography of your cornea needs to be done. Only if it’s ok and your corneal thickness is good enough, your Lasik can be done. Your retina also needs to be checked.
Next Steps
See an eye dr and get your eyes properly evaluated. If unsuitable for Lasik, there are other options to get rid of spectaclesthat your dr will tell you about. The power of contact lenses is a little less than spectacle power.

Contact lens power will not be the same as your spectacle power for high minus powers. There are no strict cut-off range for powers to do LASIK. It depends on various other factors.
Next Steps
Consult an ophthalmologist to have a detailed analysis to see if you are eligible to have LASIK. Else, you will be advised about other options also.

Not sure what your question is. Based on a clinical examination LASIK can be possible upto refractive errors of -10D. Contact lens powers differ from those of spectacle prescription for higher powers. Usually for power upto -5D spectacle and contact lens powers are the same.
Next Steps
If interested in LASIK please schedule an appt for eye examination so that we may do a detailed examination to assess your eligibility for LASIK.

The difference between your contact lens and spectacle power is because of vertex distance.(distance between cornea and your back surface of glasses) Theoretically it is 12-13 mm or depends on individual, may be upto 20 mm So when calculating for LASIK we consider true refractory vertex distance and modify accordingly by using munnerlyn formula Not going into details of how we calculate But all LASIK surgeons have idea about this Dont worry it will be taken care... Since you have high power we need to see your cornea thickness prior.... If thin we can go with other procedure SMILE, phakic intraocular lens, refractive lens exchange
