Hi. as you had said about your problem that you have a cavity in your wisdom tooth and it also is hurting you, which means, that the cavity has gone deeper levels!! Yes, you have to undergo removal of that particular tooth but before that an X-ray has to be taken in order to ascertain the correct position of tooth and the roots and their relationship to the nerve and other structures. Once it's ascertained then proper Surgical/ Non Surgical depending on the tooth position, removal of it will suffice your problem completely!!
