My wife feels heaviness in head

My wife complains heaviness in head and tiredness for the last 20 days. general physician and eye specialist were consulted and found normal. Is consultation with psychiatrist or specialist in neurology is nevessary? kindly guide me sir.

Dear sir, Heaviness in head might be probably due to sinusitis also. Psychological factors might also cause this. Find out if anything wrong or untoward incidents had happened in last 1 month. Please do whatever brings happiness to her. For further assistance please feel free to contact me Wishes

Yes. Absolutely. If eye specialist and physician have not found any major underlying causes, it is very likely to be stress related or part of anxiety or depressive disorder which sometimes manifests in the form of predominant physical symptoms like headache, tiredness, lethargy or sleeplessness, loss of appetite and occasionally palpitations, sweating, shaking etc. She would benefit from counselling like cognitive behavior therapy including some medication. With proper and timely treatment your wife is likely to get better
