Mucus + persistent cough

I am having slight headache and can feel the accumulation of mucus. Having a consistent cough since a 2 months. The cough dies down for some day and evolve and occurs majorly in the night. It's doesn't happen in a continuous stretch though. Itching sensation in the throats triggers the cough. Please help
