HI By orthodontic (BRACES) treatment you can only move the teeth .....jaw movements is only possible by orthopedic treatment only but orthopedic means of movement is only possible during the growth phase of your jaws....concerning your age,you can only go for surgical method of jaw movements.... In simple disharmonious occlusion of teeth  will have effect on jaw muscles which in turn affects the tmj So treating the occlusal problems by orthodontic treatment will have indirect effect on tmj
