Hi sir, OSMF which has a mouth opening of 28 mm is still can be treated and the opening can be improved. As the other doctors mentioned the first step of the treatment is to stop any habits you may have... The other treatment options may include 1.start with a tablet which is to be taken for minimum 7 days(usually works for grade 1 OSMF) 2.Giving the injections for a period of 6 weeks (weekly once) and stick to proper systemic therapy protocols 3.Mouth opening surgery using Laser ,this option has a rapid recovery period but the cost will be more 4.Go for conventional surgical therapy and rapidly improve the mouth opening and maintain it by excercise. You should corticosteroids along with combination of other drugs,either topical or systemic  for treatment of osmf.will take around 2-6 months for return to normal mouth opening.you can consult through this for prescription of medication and instructions on investigations and dietary instructions.

Avoid eating tobacco/alcohol. Consult your dental surgeon soon. If you follow instructions of your dental surgeon strictly then there are chances of recovery
