You missed the Day 7 dose of the rabies vaccine. The standard schedule usually includes doses on Days 0, 3, 7, 14, and sometimes 28. However, missing the Day 7 dose generally does not pose any major risk if the remaining doses have been taken. If you still have any concerns, you should visit our clinic so that we can take a detailed history and counsel you appropriately.

You have completed the standard 4 dose IM schedule 0, 3, 14, 28, so you are protected. No extra dose is needed now. There is no risk from the vaccine itself. In case of any future animal bite, you will only need booster doses Day 0 & 3.

The Rabies vaccine is one of the safest and most life-saving vaccines available. Taking the 4-dose course (0, 3, 14, 28 days) intramuscularly, even for personal reassurance, poses no significant health risk. Since the vaccine contains 'inactivated' (killed) virus, it cannot cause rabies. Your body will simply produce protective antibodies, which is actually a beneficial immune response."
Next Steps
No Further Action: You are now fully protected. If you are ever bitten by a suspected animal in the next few years, you would only need two 'booster' shots (Day 0 and 3) instead of the full course. Side Effects: Mild soreness at the injection site or a slight fever is a normal sign that your immune system is responding to the vaccine. These usually resolve within 24–48 hours. Keep your Record: Save your vaccination certificate. It is a valuable medical document for your future health records.

4 doses are enough. Rabies has 100% mortality but in your case you have taken full course.
Next Steps
if you again had dog bite within a year u just need 2 doses. but don't decide your self get immediate vist to nearby clinician.
