Metformin and dry nose and sinus

Type 2 diebetic Have been taking metformin from past 6 months and past 1 month been on linaglyptin 2.5mg but I am suffering from extreme dry nose and sinus, it feels completely dry no mucus in the nose area. I also have allergic rhinitis and when this happens then only I have watery discharge from nose but other then that no mucus or wetness inside nose area it feels completely dry and due to thats why right nostril is blocked and it feels very bad at night.suggest me should I discontinue metformin because I have feeling this after the medication.
