Meningitis query

From the last week I am having some kind of light neck stiffness which sometime fluctuate from mild to normal. No neck pain or fever. Also I am having pain at the back of the ear near the back head joints of the back head of both side. Can this is a cause of meningitis or something else. Please guide me.
