Hi, thanks for reaching out. Firstly we need to know the day of injury and severity of injury ? How much is the tear ? You need to give support and rest to knee , to heal the ligament. After Healing you need physiotherapy for proper flexibility of ligament as well as knee joint and for your gait training.
Next Steps
use splint or crepe bandage on your knee and give it rest. Do not bear weight on your knee untill it heals.

Just check your full body posture and get it corrected as we don't walk with just our knee as a single joint moving, but we move as a whole. Therefore we need to check neighbouring joints and their Strength training enough, so that knee do not go for overweight bearing. Each person and his Strength is different, proper examination and treating body as a whole is worth. Don't just mingle around MCL; being a hockey player, core strength is equally important. You can check it by standing on one leg, if your foot shivers that is the cause.
Next Steps
visit Sukhija Physiotherapy for chiropractic and Physiotherapy together.
Health Tips
core strength should be taken care.

Depends upon the condition how severe it is, after diagnosis, there are MCL exercises, apart from resting and wearing brace, exercises under supervision of an expert therapist helps recover from mcl. Visit nearest physiotgerapy center for proper diagnosis and treatment.

Mcl tears have good rate of recovery depending on the grade of tear clinically. Best treatment is a combination of relative rest period with brace and protective exercises. Since you are a hockey player supervised treatment is necessary and nothing other than graded exercise program would benefit you. NO ultrasound treatment, it has NO EFFECT
Next Steps
Get yourself evaluated first do see the extent of injury as delaying might be detrimental.
Health Tips
Use a brace and avoid straightening your knee completely before evaluation

You need to get a complete assessment done for the lower extremity so as to treat this properly and avoid any future recurrence if the same.
