Is it the back pain / leg pain that is more ? And how much can you walk . A very good percentage of patients can be managed conservatively .

Sit with good support to your back using two plastic chairs. Sit a taller height such that feet are hanging and support feet with footrest while sitting. Stand from the chair by removing the footrest, coming at the edge of the chair and then getting up with support of arm rest Stretching exercises for your thigh and back muscles.

If you are comfortable with medication then continue same. But this problem is progressive and will get worse with age. Clear cut canal stenosis requires lifestyle modification and still no improvement then possible surgery.
