Low TSH 0.12 in pregnancy

My Wife TSH is 0.12 and she is now in 2nd trimester. Low TSH was detected in 1st trimester but the dr asked to do the test again after 1 month see the results. We had consulted MD Medicine Dr for the same and he has recommended PTU tablets for 1 month. NT Scan and double marker test also done which is in low risk. Has the baby got affected due to low TSH? What would be the side effects of the tablet PTU in 2nd trimester.

PTU is relatively safer if taken on second trimester. Deranged tsh can affect baby if level are low or high in first trimester itself. you should get a level 2 scan done at 18-20 weeks of pregnancy to rule out any congenital anomalies
