Hi i had blood flow in16 wks and also had low lying placenta detected in 17 wks and doc said to have head low and keep taking proluton 500 weekly. I hv bn taking proluton since last 1.5months and last scan done in 22 wks shows placenta has not moved up. Is it safe to continue proluton and how to be taken. What will be the risk in delivery if placenta doesnot move up.

You should continue Inj Proluton up to 28 weeks. Taking rest is ok but there is no need of head low position. If your placenta doesn't move up, then you might need a cesarean.

No point taking proluton after 12 weeks Placenta generally moves up after 24 weeks If doesn't by 36 weeks u end up in a cesarean

No harm in continuing proluton Mostly by 28 weeks placenta ll move up in case if it doesnot then y hve to go for section Take bed rest , head low position Warning sign s PV spotting in case anytime if u notice Rush to hospital

Keep repeating the scan Take bed rest with head low position Watch for episode of bleeding If placenta doesn't move up, there might be a need of preterm delivery, if u have episode of bleeding. Moreover the mode of delivery will be Caeserean
