  4. Low hb infant. Please reply!

Low hb infant

36 weeks preterm baby, birth weight 2.3 kg. Now she is 6 months old. Present weight is 7 kg. She had increased fussiness reduced appetite for past few days. Blood tests done hb was 7.4 and started on iron. We are afraid that whether this anaemia will affect her future  development. Please reply

Continue iron supplements for 3 months and recheck her Hb after 3 months. Also give iron rich foods like green leafy vegetables, jaggery,dates, beetroot.
