My father is 60+ and has been a diabetic patient for over 30 years. He's also on insulin for over 10 years. His blood sugar level usually gets low, rarely high. He takes care of his diet. Last night his sugar level dropped to 36 (lowest ever) We gave him tea with sugar to bring it back to normal What should I do next In the long run? Who should I consult?

Low sugars are dangerous , it can increase risk of seizures, heart attack, fainting. Therefore it should be avoided , any sugar less than 70 is considered low. He needs testing of liver and kidney tests to determine cause of low sugars and adjustment of insulin dose
Next Steps
Please consult online to discuss blood glucose readings and changes in medications
