BUN can be an indicator of how much protein has passed through the digestive system. Your other parameters including globulins look fine, so you just need to have a bit more protein in your diet. All the best. J G S R clinic

Hello, I am Dr. Romain Rajan, General Physician (Ex Govt Medical Officer at RML Hospital, New Delhi), and your case has been allotted to me. Thank you for sharing your LFT and KFT reports. I have reviewed the values you shared. Regarding your low BUN value Your BUN and blood urea are mildly below the reference range, while: • Creatinine is normal • eGFR is excellent • Electrolytes are normal • Liver function tests are within normal limits 👉 This is NOT a cause for concern. Why BUN can be low Low BUN is commonly seen due to: • Good hydration or high water intake • Relatively low protein intake • Healthy kidney function with efficient waste clearance • Recent lifestyle or dietary changes Importantly, kidney disease causes high urea and high creatinine, not low values. About your liver report Your LFT is completely normal: • Bilirubin normal • SGOT and SGPT normal • Albumin and proteins normal • GGT normal This confirms good liver health, and there is no liver related cause for concern here. What you should do now • No treatment is required • Continue a balanced diet with adequate protein • Maintain normal hydration • Continue annual health checkups as you are already doing When to consult a doctor • If multiple parameters become abnormal • If you develop symptoms like swelling, severe weakness, or reduced urine output • If advised during follow up of any chronic condition Overall, your reports are reassuring and healthy, and the isolated low BUN value is clinically insignificant. If you would like a detailed one to one explanation of your reports or preventive health planning, you can reach out to me directly on WhatsApp at 85271646 seven seven. Wishing you good health. Dr. Romain Rajan General Physician
