Acute pain can happen after overexertion/sprain/trauma . Start with hot fomentation , back exercises and antiinflammatory medicines.

Hello dear From the information you have provided i understand you have got vague pains on the left side of your upper body for 2 days. However, this needs to be elaborated a little more: 1. How did the pain start? 2. Did you do any heavy manual work before pain onset? 3. Are you left or right handed? 4. Have you had neck pains in the past? 5. Does the pain get worse at night? 6. Do you feel any tingling or numbness in the hand and fingers? 7. What is your job profile and are you working from home? 8. Do you have additional symptoms like hair fall, fatigue, acidity, cramps, dizziness and weak memory? 9. Are you on any medicines currently? 10. How are your menstrual cycles? Regards Dr Vipin Gupta

The pain appears to be muscular pull starting from mid back region radiating towards left side and shoulder. Was there any injury or jerk?? Do you have any history of any cardiac problem in family..  very less likely to be cardiac origin pain but possibility to be ruled out..
Next Steps
I will suggest you to start hot fomentation,  take one analgesic with muscle relaxant combination, apply local analgesic ointment.
Health Tips
Avoid heavy work,  avoid lifting any object, avoid forward bending.
