You’re asking a **very important and sensible question**, especially at **2.5 months postpartum** 🌸 I’ll answer **clearly, safely, and honestly**. --- ## Short, clear answer ✅ **YES — Jeevanti + Kamboji (Leptaden tablets) can be taken safely** ✅ **They can be taken *along with* Shatavari** ⚠️ **But only in the correct dose and timing** This combination is **commonly and safely used** in Ayurveda for low milk supply. --- ## Why milk supply is low (Ayurvedic view) After delivery: * **Vata increases** * **Rasa dhatu depletion** * Stress, poor sleep, dehydration → milk reduces You need medicines that: * Nourish Rasa dhatu * Calm Vata * Support prolactin naturally 👉 **Shatavari + Jeevanti + Kamboji = very good combination** --- ## How to take them SAFELY ### 🌿 1️⃣ Shatavari (continue as you are) * **1 tablet / capsule twice daily** * After meals * With **lukewarm water or milk** (if milk suits you) --- ### 🌿 2️⃣ Leptaden (Jeevanti + Kamboji) ✅ You **can add this** **Dose:** * **1 tablet twice daily** * After meals * With lukewarm water or milk ❌ Do NOT exceed this dose. --- ## How long to take? ⏳ **Minimum 4–6 weeks** Most mothers notice: * Improvement in **7–14 days** * Better let-down reflex * Baby more satisfied after feeds --- ## VERY IMPORTANT non-medicine factors (often missed) ### 💧 Hydration * 3–3.5 liters fluids daily * Warm water, jeera water, soups ### 🕒 Feeding pattern * Feed or pump **every 2–3 hours** * Night feeds are VERY important for milk hormones ### 😴 Rest & stress * Stress alone can reduce milk even if medicines are perfect --- ## Foods that naturally help (not medicines) * Rice gruel * Moong dal * Lauki, pumpkin * Ajwain + jeera in cooking * Ghee in small quantity --- ## When to be cautious ❌ If you notice: * Breast pain with fever * Severe constipation * Baby not gaining weight Then please inform a doctor. --- ## Final reassurance 🌷 ✔️ **Shatavari + Leptaden together is safe** ✔️ Commonly prescribed to lactating mothers ✔️ No known harm to baby when taken in normal dose If you want, tell me: * Normal delivery or C-section? * Any thyroid / anemia? * Baby’s weight gain so far? I can **fine-tune the plan for faster results** 💕 Advice- self medication is hazardous, always consult ayurvedic doctor before taking ayurvedic medicine. Consult me personally for details

Namastey Yes, these both are very good among the herbs for increasing lactation. But only depending on them to increase breast milk is not enough, as you should also consider following points- • Adequate hydration • Warm, nourishing diet (milk, ghee, soups) • Avoid stress & sleep deprivation • Frequent breastfeeding → most powerful stimulator These herbs should not be used in case of - • Breast engorgement with fever • Mastitis • Kapha-dominant heaviness unless corrected
Next Steps
Most important step in producing more breast milk is mother’s digest and assimilation of food. So you should have a very good digestive system. Any kind of indigestion will hamper the quality and quantity of breast milk. You should also add dashmoolarishtam or fenugreek in your diet. Please consult for proper treatment and guidance. Thank you

Jivanti (Jīvantī) and Kamboji (Kāmbhojī) in Lactation Both herbs are well-known in Ayurveda as Stanyajanana (galactagogues)—they help improve breast-milk quantity and quality, especially in mothers with weakness or stress. 🌿 Jivanti (Leptadenia reticulata) Role in lactation Promotes breast-milk production Improves nutritional quality of milk Reduces post-delivery weakness, fatigue, and dehydration Supports immunity and overall strength of the mother Ayurvedic properties Rasa: Madhura Virya: Sheeta Vipaka: Madhura Dosha action: Pacifies Vata & Pitta Dose Churna: 3–6 g/day with warm milk Ghrita/Leha formulations (e.g., Jivanti ghrita) as per need 🌿 Kamboji (Kāmbhojī / Ceropegia spp.) Role in lactation Powerful Stanyavardhak (enhances milk secretion) Helpful in insufficient lactation Strengthens reproductive tissues Useful when milk supply is low due to Vata aggravation Ayurvedic properties Rasa: Madhura Virya: Sheeta Dosha action: Pacifies Vata & Pitta Dose Churna: 1–3 g/day, usually with warm milk or ghrita Often used in combination, not alone 🤱 Combined Use in Lactation Jivanti + Kamboji are commonly used together in classical formulations to: Increase milk quantity Improve mother’s stamina Reduce dryness and stress Support infant nutrition indirectly They are generally safe during breastfeeding when used in proper doses. ⚠️ Precautions Avoid self-medication in cases of: Breast infection (mastitis) Severe anemia Thyroid disorders (dose adjustment needed) Always assess Agni, Prakriti, and Dosha status 🥛 Supportive Diet Advice Warm milk with ghee Shatavari, fenugreek, dill seeds Adequate hydration Avoid excessive caffeine, dry & spicy foods If you want, I can suggest: Classical formulations containing Jivanti–Kamboji Dose planning as per post-natal stage Combination with Shatavari or Ashwagandha Just let me know.
