Physiotherapy for knee pain. I need to do stretches to strengthen my muscles around the knee so that when I walk it does not pain

For knee pain u need to strengthen your knees muscles like quadriceps, hamstring and also strengthen calf muscles too. If the pain is acute let it settle with physiotherapy section and gradually start strengthing exercises under the supervision of Physiotherapist

Hi First of all there are two different types of exercises stretching and strengthening... Doing stretching Wil not improve your muscle strength. U need to strengthen your quadriceps, hamstring and calf muscle. So u Wil have to do strengthening exercises on a daily basis.

For knee pain u need to strengthen ur muscles.  Along with focusing on reducing Pain. Stretches and strengthening exercises are both different.

if there is a swelling in and around the joint initially only static exercises to be done once inflation reduces u can focus more on strengthening part

if swelling is there than apply ice 3 times a day.  also start wearing knee cap while walking and doing g other activities that will help and support ur joint.
