Itching,minor cut in anus

My friend has been suffering from mild itching and possible a minor cut in anus. Pain in cut is experienced only while cleaning with water after passing stools. Lately he has sitting for long while passing stools and possibly this prolonged sitting has caused itching and minor cut. He passes stools only once in a day. Can you please advise a ointment or other treatment to help him.
