Patient - female, 62 years, height - 5 ft, weight - 50 kg, History of hypertension, hyperthyroidism, CKD for three years ( creatinine on average 1.6), prediabetic ( HbA1C 6.1), physical weakness. Symptoms - Periodic low grade fever, Weight loss ( 8 kg in 9 months), less appetite. Suggested - Blood test, urine culture & RE Blood test report - Serum Protein Electrophoresis normal, pANCA normal, ANF normal, Rheumatoid factor 1.2, all blood parameters normal except little rose in WBC & CRP ( fluctuate between 25-133 when done multiple times) Urine - No pus cell, no protein, Bacteria rod - 56 ( lab reference 0-80), Bacteria Cocci - 46 ( lab reference 0-80), Klebsiella Pneumoniae - 10k colonies / ml grown. Suggestion - Regular medicine + Mero injection 1GM twice a day for 5 days. Any helpful soul out there, please anyone of you, please guide me about the doctor's suggestion. Is this a UTI? She is my mother. Her BP - 110/70 on cetanil T & she is physically weak. Regards.
