Is there something to treat my aversion?

For as long as I can remember, I have lived with an aversion to having metal in my mouth. Just the thought of it gives my body a physical reaction; goosebumps, shuddering, sometime gagging, and an overall sense of repulsion. At home I use plastic cutlery, and when I'm out Ill use the metal ones but it won't make direct contact with my mouth. It's my understanding that this type of aversion is a phobia, which is an anxiety disorder. I wonder if there are medications or therapies that may help me?

There are certainly therapy and medications that can help you be more at ease. Get in touch with a psychologist near you or online.
