I have to do orthodontic treatment in my teeth for next 18 months. Dentist told me that I have to apply retainer in my teeth after the treatment for four five years. Is teeth retainer visible if I talk?

Dear sir Greetings of the day! If you will be provided with a removable retainer, a single wire would be visible. But if a fixed lingual retainer is provided, then it will be placed on the back side of the teeth & hence not visible.
