Mechanical problem.Plantar fascia is elastic soft tissue which help maitain curvature of foot which in turn help in smooth walking. Any thing that affect plantar fascia like excessive stretching due to increased weight, prologed standing will cause fascitis. Even some inflammatory changes secondary to increased uric acid or rheumatoid process, will also cause fascitis. Not serious issue.
